Like the “30 days of Gratitude” or whatever.. Don’t get me wrong, that is a great kind of post to put out. But why are you not being grateful the other 335 days out of the year?

If you want to change your life, you can do so.. But you have to “choose” to do it.. You can’t just say I am going to change my life and then “BOOM, LIFE CHANGED!” Don’t we wish it were that easy?

But there is an EASY way to make gratitude a habit in your life.

In fact here are 3 easy ways that you can make gratitude an awesome new habit in your life! These are some of the things that I have done that have really helped me.

  1. Come up with a trigger
  2. Spend your time around people who practice gratitude already, online or offline!
  3. Just say Thank You

Coming Up With A Trigger That Will Make Being Grateful Second Nature To You.

Anytime you are trying to incorporate a new habit, you need to start off small. And you need to have some kind of trigger that will remind you to actually do the new habit. Right?

My trigger is my drive to work. And this really works for me.

I used to have a bad habit of forgetting to write down my “gratitudes” in my journal when I was first trying to make gratitude a habit. So as soon as I would remember I would start saying them out loud. Which was usually when I was driving to work because I was dreading it. And I knew that if I could start saying what I was grateful for, that it would make that feeling go away.

So= enter new trigger for my gratitude habit!

What could you use as a trigger for your new gratitude habit?

Here are some things that you could use if you wanted to:

  • Leave yourself a post-it note somewhere that you can see it as soon as possible – Coffee Maker? Kitchen Table? Bathroom Mirror? Rearview mirror in your car? Somewhere in your house or car so that you will see and it will remind you to say what you are grateful for or remind you to write them down.
  • Your daily drive to work like I do- This has really upped my gratitude game. Because it always triggers me to start saying what I am grateful for. Doing this has helped me to make gratitude a habit for the last year of my life. 😍
  • Automate it- Set up your Google Calendar or whatever kind of calendar that you might use online to send yourself a reminder! Or your smartphone. These days technology is a big part of our life. Why not take advantage of it and use it to make a good habit? Find an app on your smartphone that will help you to be grateful and make it a habit. Just make sure you actually use it! Information without implementation is just useless information!!! Remember that!

Spend Time Around People Who Practice Gratitude Already

You can do this online or offline. If you have some awesome, inspiring friends ask them how they stay so positive. I’m sure they would love to tell you. But if you are like me and don’t have that many close friends (being an introvert like I am) use your social media for good!

Get into Facebook groups that are full of positive people!

This is really easy to do. I am in a lot of awesome groups online. But my favorite one is the manifestation babes group. It is nothing but positivity! And other people learning how to manifest what they want into their life. So of course, gratitude is contagious in that group! You can find the group by clicking the link (And tell them that Amy from iheartloa sent ya! 😉) Manifestation Babes

Search #hashtags on Instagram to find inspiration and gratitude quotes.

Meet other people on Instagram that use that #hashtag a lot in their posts! Start making your own post on Instagram telling what you are grateful for that day! Share it out! Sharing love and gratitude is contagious yall! It not only inspires other people, but it will inspire you too! And when you are inspired that is just an awesome feeling isn’t it?

3 Easy Ways To Make Gratitude An Awesome Habit. Gratitude isn't just for Thanksgiving or the holidays. Come on over to see 3 easy ways that you can make gratitude a daily habit. It will change your life for the better! It did mine!

Just say Thank You

When you just say thank you, it automatically gets that grateful feeling stirring up inside of you! This is a good thing. If you forget to write down what you are grateful for or forget to say them outloud.. Just saying thank you is enough! It truly is. When you say thank you, you will start to feel grateful for what you have! Your life, your family, your spouse, etc. You won’t believe what those 2 little words can do for you on the inside!

When you start to change on the inside, your whole world starts to change on the outside!

And gratitude is the easiest and fastest way that I have seen a change in my life! And the good thing about that is that I am truly grateful for all that I have! It’s not just something that I do to get more things in life!

I see life thru a new set of eyes now! My perspective has changed! And it is a wonderful feeling when you don’t feel like your life is hopeless anymore! Now I am so optimistic about my future that the sky is the limit! And I want you to feel that way too!

Here is a bonus for you!

I have a checklist that I made to help people change their mindset. In it are 6 things that you can do every day (and check them off as you do them) to help you change your mindset. If you check off the list every day, it will soon become an awesome habit for your life!  I have already had great feedback on this checklist!
