Why It’s Important To Feed Your Mind

If your thoughts create your reality, how can you learn to change your thoughts from bad to good? Or from lack to plenty? By feeding your mind with good things. By thinking about the presence of things instead of the absence.

What Does It Mean To Feed Your Mind

Today I want to talk to you about feeding your mind. What exactly does that mean? Well, it just means to consume information that will help your life not make it worse. When you are taking in negative thoughts repetitively you become used to it. And it makes you start to set up beliefs in your mind that the negative things are true. And that becomes your reality.

So why would you do that? If your thoughts create your reality, wouldn’t you want to consume more positive things to influence your life?

Why It’s Important To Feed Your Mind

The information that you are consuming (whether it be by audio, video, reading, whatever) can really affect how you see the world. How you see your life.

I choose to create a better reality for myself. So for the past few years, I have been having to un-learn certain things. And then condition myself to learn more positive things. To think differently about my life. To see myself in a different way.  By feeding my mind with positive things, it has really opened my eyes to the possibilities that are there for me, not the struggle that I used to see.

If you want to have a better life then it’s important to feed your mind with things that you will learn from and grow from. Things that will stretch your limited thinking and beliefs. ~amy@iheartloa.com

Start questioning your beliefs. Are they true? How do you know they are true?

When you start to question the things that are holding you back or keeping you from growing, you start to realize that this world is limitless. Your mind is the only thing that is limiting you from doing things. And feeding your mind with new ways of thinking and different more abundant thoughts will allow you to grow.

Feed your mind valuable, life-changing information that will help you align with the person that you know you are. And the person you were born to be. Come on over to read why it's important to feed your mind. And how you can learn to feed your mind every day to help you live the life you want to live.

How Can You Feed Your Mind?

By changing what you listen to. What you watch. What kinds of movies you watch, tv series, YouTube videos, etc.

I personally listen to personal development podcasts, videos, etc every single day. I believe that by learning how to change my way of thinking is helping me create a better reality for myself. And it really is working. I see life so differently now. I see abundance where before I saw struggle and survival. I see good where before I saw nothing but bad in the world.

I stopped watching the news about 2-3 years ago. Why? Because on the news all they show you are the bad things that are happening in the world. And they also show the worst case scenarios. When you grow up watching stuff like that on TV, is it no wonder that you grow up thinking about all the bad things in life instead of the good?

Feed your mind valuable, life-changing information that will help you align with the person that you know you are. And the person you were born to be. Some of the Podcasts That I Feed My Mind With On A Daily Basis.

I work outside the home just like most of you do. I am not rich by any means. But neither am I struggling like I used to be for the longest time. And I contribute that to changing the way I think about my life. I started seeing abundance instead of lack all of the time. Have I changed completely? No, not yet. I am a work in progress. But I know if I keep on working on my inner thoughts and beliefs that I will be able to live the way I want to live.

Here are just some of the podcasts/videos that I listen to on a daily basis that have been helping me:

The Mind Your Business Podcast by James Wedmore. Mind Your Business Podcast This is one of my favorite podcast to listen to. It does talk about business, but James is big on mindset. Which is one of my favorite things to learn & talk about. I think if you can change your mindset, your whole world will change. I binge on his podcasts while I am at work. He uploads 3 times a week. And you can find him on iTunes @ Mind Your Business Podcast or by clicking the link to his website above. I know if you are like me and are into personal development, mindset, etc that you will love listening to this podcast.

Manifestation Babe Podcast by Kathrin Zenkina. If you have been reading this blog then you know that I am big on manifesting. And a lot that I have learned about manifesting and money mindset, I have learned from Kathrin Zenkina of Manifestation Babe. When I am busy and don’t have the time to go to her Facebook group or her site, I listen to her podcast. She is a master at money manifesting. And you can find her podcasts a couple of ways. You can find her on Podbean @ Manifestation Babe or on iTunes @ Manifestation Babe.

The Do It Scared Podcast by Ruth Soukup. Before I became a blogger, I used to dream of blogging. And that all started for me by reading other people’s blogs. One of the very first blogs that I got hooked on and learned so much from was Living Well Spending Less by Ruth Soukup. This was way back in the day when people really didn’t know what blogging was. And didn’t realize how blogging would influence so many lives around the world. This was back when I was first getting into the online world. And finding so much valuable information to help me change my life. Ruth has an amazing podcast called Do It Scared. Ruth is the founder/creator of The Elite Blog Academy that teaches other bloggers how to be successful and make a full-time income blogging.

Terri Savelle-Foy YouTube Videos. I love listening and watching Terri Savelle-Foy’s videos on YouTube. She is truly a gift from God. She is an inspiration to many. She really breaks down personal development and backs up her Law of Attraction views with biblical truths. You can watch her videos Terri Savelle-Foy YouTube or by going to her website at Terri.com.

Other Influencers In My Life That Help Me To Feed My Mind

Here is a list of some other amazing influencers out there that I follow and learn from that you might be interested in too! These are in no particular order.

I hope you have enjoyed my list of influencers that I listen to and follow. I love learning. And especially when I can learn something that is going to help me to change the way I think and view the world. All of these people have influenced my life and mindset in one way or the other. And if you aren’t following them already then go check them out. And see the value that they can offer to your life!

The world is an abundant place. There is so much for us to experience.

Don’t let your world be limited by your limited way of thinking. Open your mind up. Don’t stunt your personal growth by thinking that you know everything already. No matter what age you are, you can always learn something new that will enhance your life and make it better.

And feeding your mind is just as important as feeding your body. The beliefs that you hold to be true you probably learned at a very young age in life, like I did. And these beliefs were passed down to you more than likely thru your parents, teachers, grandparents or guardians.

The world has changed and evolved so much since their time. Not diminishing anything that they went thru or might have taught you. Or grew up learning themselves.

But you have to get to the point of asking yourself

“Is what I have been doing all this time helping me have the life I want or is it keeping me in the same place in life year after year. Month after month. Day after day?”

Your Mindset Affects Every Aspect Of Your Life.

So take care of it. Feed it valuable, life-changing information that will help you align with the person that you know you are. And the person you were born to be. By changing your thoughts and knowing that you are never too old or young to learn new ways of doing things will help you open yourself up to more opportunities in your life and experiences.

I hope you have enjoyed today’s post. Be sure to come back for updates. And I’m sure I will make a video to go with this post for you!
