Man, this day just totally sucks! I don’t feel like doing anything. And I have so much shit going on that I know I need to be doing that it just makes me feel that much worse about myself. Have you ever felt like this? If so, keep reading.

Ok, today we are going to be talking about motivation.

And how to get some (motivation 😉) even when you don’t feel like doing anything.

And that it’s ok to have days like this!!! I know how your feeling. Because I have had plenty of days where I have had to dig deep to find some motivation to just get up and get some shit done! To start the blog post, to wash the dishes, to like actually get up and move.. Oh, how I wish I were joking right now!

Life can get overwhelming sometimes if you let it. And that can cause you to kinda get in a paralysis frame of mind. Where you just want to binge on some Netflix and forget everything else.

But if you want to keep working toward your dreams & goals, sometimes you have to give yourself that extra push to get you started. 

And that’s where this post comes in. wink wink 😉

Nah, what really got me started writing this post was because I was having a day like this.

Like right this moment. And I decided that I wasn’t gonna go down like that today. Today is my day that I send out my weekly email to my subscribers and I was just having writer’s block. Couldn’t think of a single thing to write about that I thought that they might want to actually read.

And then it hit me.

Just write how you are feeling. Maybe someone out there is feeling this way too and maybe just maybe you can help them get past it. And in the process get past it myself! 

So, I thought to myself what do I usually do to help myself get motivated to create??

Create that blog post, create the images to go with it? And to actually record a video with an example from my life. Then I decided to throw it all to the wall and just talk to you guys about how I am feeling today. And in the process, get motivated. Get inspired. And get pumped to freakin just start doing what we know we need to do. And what we want to do too.

When I am feeling un-motivated here are some things that I have been known to do to pump myself up and get to writing.

Use Good Ole Google

This is one of the first things that I do that really helps me get in a different state of mind. Because if you haven’t noticed everything starts in your mind. Whatever state of mind you are in, that is really what is going to lead what kind of day you have.

Anyways, back to google. A lot of the time, I will just go to Google and type in motivating quotes. And see what pops up. And reading these quotes really really helps me to get inspired to write.

If you aren’t a writer and you are trying to get inspired or motivated, you can still use this. Reading inspiring and motivating quotes really helps me.

Write Down Some Inspiring Quotes Or Sayings On Index Cards. And Make A Rolodex Out Of Them.

I totally have this on my desk. And I am sitting here staring at it right now. I have about 20-25 different quotes that I wrote down, each on separate index cards, that I can flip thru at any time when I need something to cheer me up. Get me inspired or motivated.

Also, I will go thru and pick one that is just calling to me that day and keep it in the front of the deck so that I can see it and read it over & over. Since I spend so much time in my home office it sits right beside my laptop. And this little handy dandy creation has gotten me thru some really lazy, uninspiring days. So I thought it might help you too.

Don’t ask me what inspired me to do this because I really can’t remember. But just flipping thru these cards on a day where I don’t feel like doing much really reminds me that I am the only one that can change my life. No one else is gonna do it for me. And if I want change in my life, then I have to be the one to do something about it.

Just Pick One Thing To Do…

Just pick one thing that you can do really quickly. Instead of like saying doing a whole load of dishes, just pick something that doesn’t take as long. Like making your bed. Make your bed really fast. Then usually when you finish doing the one thing, you will automatically start to do something else.

If you are not motivated to write, like I was at the beginning of this blog post, just pop over to someone else’s blog and read something that inspires you.

Go to YouTube and type in what you are wanting to do and see what pops up! You would be surprised. There are all kinds of videos about all kinds of things out there these days! The whole goal behind this post is to just inspire you to not give up! Even when you don’t feel like doing a dang thang.

There is still always some little something that you can do for yourself to keep going towards your dreams & goals. Some little action step that will still help to keep you on your path.

So do the thing.

Even if it’s just something small. At least it is some kind of action for that day.

And any action is better than no action.

      I’m so glad you stopped by the blog!! I hate to hear that you are going thru a tuff time right now.. Always remember that this too shall pass.. And everything is only temporary.. It will get better. I’m so glad the post gave you a little motivation. Everything is mindset.. Use gratitude to help you get thru the tuff times.. I have been thru some rough times myself. And thought I would never get thru it. But I did. And when I look back on those times, I realize that there was a lesson there.. Life was trying to teach me something that I needed to know.
