How many times have you “started all over”? I know I have, more times than I’d like to admit. Just yesterday I was happy to be in the routine of life I had spent years working towards, 1 step forward, 2 steps back!
Hey guys! And thanks for taking a minute to stop by the blog. I am so happy that you are here.
In today’s post, we are talking about Grind & Growth. This is a guest post from Amber Morton. And I really hope you enjoy it and get some value out of it!

*Rule 1: Trust That Starting Over is Just Part of the Process..
It gives us a chance to identify mistakes and prevent them
from happening again!
So yes, you will have to work twice as hard to get back to the place you were.
But by taking the time to consider each move a critical piece to reaching success. And mastering the steps getting there.
You are now becoming the expert most people pay good money to talk to!
You are the driver, the coach, and the boss.
Able to identify problems quicker and take calculated risk.
You provide confident solutions.
“To be the best, you must be able to handle the worst”.
~Wilson Kanadi #BounceBack
*Rule 2: Set Goals & Grind..
Back to the drawing board!
Start with answering 3 questions;
- Where do you wish to be?
- What do you want to accomplish?
- What are the passions you wish to pursue?
Now find inspiration!
Get moving and get motivated to slay these goals one at a time, make a dynamic plan and produce!
If your anything like me, you bring a competitive edge to the table most people are intimidated by. Which means you are already a
step ahead of the game!
It’s important to remember why your busting ass, going hard every day when sweet little Sally is stuffing her face with ice cream, sleeping, & watching TV.
My why: Proving I can!
Being low income is enough to scare me away from the struggle… Choosing to eat dinner or pay a bill? ~Amber N. Morton #TheStruggleIsReal
And what am I going to do about it?
Specifically, outline the goal.
Example: I want to lead my sales office in 6 months!
Grind to get there.
I’ll invest extra time to:
- Master my craft
- Train others
- Take on new duties
- Become an asset
For You To Do:
- Write it down
- Have a timeline
- Visualize yourself there.
Remember a goal without a deadline is just a dream!
*Rule 3: The 3 D’s.
Oh man, this is the hard part!
Change is uncomfortable.
Nothing exciting will ever happen in your life by playing it safe.. You can keep doing the same old thing, expecting different results, but those expectations will never be met until you truly do something you’ve never done before.
Instilled in me is pure entrepreneur spirit so I thrive on difficult and challenging situations. ~Amber N. Morton
- Gather information about something new
- Hold yourself accountable to do it
- Then take small steps to get there.
It could be networking with people you normally don’t talk to. Taking on a lead project or maybe just joining a gym.
Doing what you say you are going to do.
Deciding to not give up.
Navigating a path to get there.
For me, I’m taking on step 3 right now!
